To The Woods!

Current Breadalbane Champion, Alex Keir has wasted no time in announcing the venue for next year's weekend, which will be the 19th edition of the competition. Belton Woods Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort will play host in September 2025 as golfers will return to another Q Hotel venue, the same ownership as Forest Pines.

Located to the east of Nottingham and just outside of Grantham in Lincolnshire, Belton Woods has two 18 hole courses: The Lakes and The Woods. Both courses are fairly self-explanatory in what hazards lie in wait, The Lakes course having water in-play on several holes and being the longer of the two at 6,364 from the yellow tees.

The Woods course is far more akin to what the competitors faced in 2024, with tight tree-lined fairways. At 6,287 yards, there isn't much difference in length but The Lakes course has a higher slope index rating and so will give the field more strokes to play with.
