The Rider Cup

Added to the Breadalbane weekend in 2022, The Rider Cup is contested between Kenmore and Taymouth every year. It has become one of the most anticipated parts of the weekend as both sides battle it out over the Friday Foursomes, Saturday Fourballs and Sunday Singles for the ultimate bragging rights.

The Duels

The creation of The Rider Cup has led to some player rivalries within the two teams, whether through being opposing Captains or continually being drawn to play each other. Some of these rivalries have been detailed below with some more information on the story behind them.

Results So Far

2026 - The La Cala Cauldron

Taymouth 13 - 11 Kenmore

Taymouth defended their crown in the heat of Spain's Costa Del Sol. A superb Saturday performance in the fourballs paved the way for a second win in a row, despite a valiant Kenmore effort in the Sunday singles.

2025 - The Battle At Belton Woods

Taymouth 11.5 - 7.5 Kenmore

Taymouth finally got their hands on the trophy at the 4th time of asking with a comprehensive win over their rivals. It had been nail biting on the Sunday for a time before they secured the win.

2024 - Showdown In Scunthorpe

Kenmore 8 - 8 Taymouth

The match at Forest Pines was the closest yet, with both teams reduced to just 8 players for the event; it went down to the last hole on the last day as Kenmore retained the trophy.

2023 - Tussle Under The Tower

Kenmore 10.5 - 9.5 Taymouth

Taking place at Heron's Reach in Blackpool, the second match was much closer but ultimately ended in the same result after a gruelling battle which could have gone either way.

2022 - The War At Wokefield

Kenmore 12.5 - 7.5 Taymouth

The first ever match at Wokefield, just outside Reading, was a comfortable victory for Kenmore as they dominated the opening session 4-1 and went on to win every session across the 3 days, wrapping it up early on the Sunday.
