CRAIG ROBERTS

Handicap: 18.0

BBXX will mark fifteen starts without a victory for Edge at the Breadalbane, making him the joint-player with the most appearances who has never won the Quaich. And so La Cala will be attempt number sixteen by Craig to try and finish on top of the pile. As the sporting world knows only too well, on many occasions Edge has lacked the conviction required on Breadalbane Sunday to win the title. However, having sought the expertise of a sports psychologist to overcome his mental demons reports are suggesting he firmly believes he now has the mental fortitude to win the lot.

As the records show, Edgy is a proven team player winning four team events that he has played in. Then his crowning moment arrived at Belton Woods in 2025 as he Captained the Taymouth side to their first Rider Cup with a convincing win over Kenmore.

One things is for sure with Edge, he will have himself well talked up before the first tee. The proud Founding Foreskin is eager to add a 4th Roberts name onto the base of the Quaich. However, Edgy has been troubling the foot of the table more than the top since returning to Breadalbane action in 2021 and needs a big turnaround in form soon. Having finally ditched the antique Ping Zings, can his new Mizuno JPXs fire him to glory?
