Brucey debuted at Oulton Hall in Leeds at the 2011 event. His slow play bored his opponents into submission at Dalmahoy as he secured his Breadalbane win; that and his outrageously high handicap at the time.

Famed for having copious amounts of alcohol and still being able to somehow play some half decent golf, he then backed up that first title with a 5 point winning margin in 2021 at Cardrona to become the second two-time winner of the Breadalbane. 

Captaining the Kenmore side at Wokefield in 2022 for the newly formed Rider Cup, Brucey then oversaw a solid 12.5 - 7.5 victory over the Taymouth team.

His Rider Cup record has been just above average, performing well in the singles with 3 wins from 4 but struggling in the fourball format on the Saturday with just 1.5 from 4. His individual performance was strong last time out at Belton Woods, coming 3rd overall.
