ALISTAIR BROOKS

Handicap: 12

As one of the serious golfers on the Breadalbane tour, many would agree that Ali’s roll of honour is dismal. His best finish (3rd) coming at Wokefield in 2022 will be tough reading for the man from Dundee, worsened still by the fact that one of his five Breadalbane appearances was at his home course!

Unfortunately, for Ali, his efforts to improve his Breadalbane career record have not gone without incident. Reports are circulating that the ice hockey fan is barred from his local driving range after trying to emulate his ice hockey/ golf hero Happy Gilmore. Sadly, for Ali, the patented Brookes 175-yard fade with the driver was still the outcome after a 15 yard run up (at least he didn’t face plant like he did at Drumoig).

Sadly, after a solid showing at Wokefield both individually and as part of winning Kenmore team, Ali will not be in attendance when the competitors tee it up at Heron's Reach. After taking a break of 9 years between his first and second Breadalbane appearance, can we expect a similar lay off this time?
