It took the 2009 Polmont Club Champion four attempts to win his first Breadalbane crown at Murrayshall in 2020, with a commanding victory and 77 point total. 

Although the ex- Hearts pro youth player is renowned for being the big hitter of the group, his short game around the greens has sometimes proved to be his Achilles heel. No matter how many YouTube tutorials he watches, or songs he sings to himself; this could be his downfall across the weekend.

Adam produced a stunning performance at Belton Woods in 2025 to become the third two-time winner of the Quaich, shooting an under par two round total for the first time in Breadalbane history.

Adam captained the Kenmore side to the defence of The Rider Cup in Blackpool, after being a star man of the 2022 victory with maximum points for his team. A constant thorn in Taymouth's side, Adam has an impressive Rider Cup record with 9 points from a possible 12 overall. He has an 100% record in Friday Foursomes and will be hoping that continues as Kenmore look to make a fast start in La Cala to win back the trophy.
