MILES SHAW

The big Welshman made a welcome return into the Breadalbane roster in 2021, following a 4-year break. Known for his abilities to drink copious amount of Guinness and still be able to recite Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau at full volume whilst playing his wobble board, can Miles use his drinking skills to block out the first tee nerves and finally submit a competitive score during a Breadalbane? 

A concern he may have is concentration on the course- as it has always been a weak point of Miles’ game. Too often, his competitor’s long drives and more commonly, sheep in a nearby field, distract him from his next shot and he duffs it into the scrub. Now a two-time Green Jacket holder, Miles did lead the Breadalbane overnight at Belton Woods before his now familiar Sunday struggles after a big night at court. 

He has shown some good form in the foursomes for Kenmore during Rider Cups, remaining unbeaten in the Friday format to date having been paired with Adam Duncan on two occasions. However, he is yet to record a point in the singles; something he will be hoping to change in La Cala.
