ANTON MOWATT

Handicap: 28.0

Anton was a last minute replacement at BB10 in Tenerife and became a regular on the Breadalbane ever since. Unfortunately for the man from the Far East, it wasn't a successful start as he landed the Green jacket in just his 2nd appearance.

There has been a steady improvement since then, however, and Anton managed back-to-back Clique victories as the best of the maximum handicappers in 2020 and 2021. Often the drink has been Anton's downfall and that was never more in evidence at Wokefield in 2022 when he didn't score a point on any of the first 5 holes in his second round having turned up at the tee with his suitcase.

Missing out at Heron's Reach and Forest Pines, Anton was back in action for Taymouth at Belton Woods and scored his first ever Rider Cup point with a vital singles victory over Gary Cornelius, which secured the overall win for his team. Can he be part of the side that defends it in La Cala this year?
