BLAIR REID
Handicap: 17.0
Big hitting Blair managed to win the Quaich in just his second Breadalbane appearance at Carden Park in 2019, holding off the experienced Eddie Roberts and John Bruce in doing so.
Unfortunately, he hasn't looked near one since and had to miss out on the 16th Breadalbane at Wokefield due to a terribly planned family wedding and then again at Forest Pines due to his own honeymoon. However, that gave him more time to bulk up in preparation for his latest attempt at winning longest drive; something he has claimed 3 times in just 6 Breadalbane starts.
Blair joined the Kenmore side for his Rider Cup debut in Blackpool and scored maximum points in the tight victory. He secured a vital singles victory over Steven Roberts on the Sunday to seal the win for his team. Returning to action at Belton Woods, Blair picked up where he left off and won his Friday Foursomes match with James Cornelius, before falling to a shock defeat on the Saturday at the hands of Paul Matuszczyk. A singles win over Baz Ramsay meant that he has an impressive 5 points from 6 in Rider Cups and will ne hoping to be a main part of Kenmore's attempts to win it back in 2026.
